RON MCBURNIE

Ron McBurnie was born in Brisbane in 1957. He received a Diploma of Arts from the Queensland College of Art, Brisbane in 1978, A Graduate Diploma of Teaching, Brisbane in 1979 and a Graduate Diploma of Arts from Queensland College of Art, Brisbane in 1979. In 2000 he received a Masters of Creative Art from the James Cook University, Townsville.  
 
He works primarily in the area of printmaking, painting and artists books. He has had over 30 solo shows including The Artist’s Studio which toured Melbourne, Regional Victoria, Brisbane, Regional Queensland, Sydney, NSW and Canberra.   His work is included in most Australian State Art Gallery collections as well as the collection of the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra. He currently lectures in Printmaking at James Cook University in Townsville.
